  • so... a needle pulling thread.

So hello. I’ve been having a lot of fun with my family, relatives, and close friends. So much fun that I’ve neglected to call my recruiter to tell him that I’m still alive, so he called me on Friday asking me to call his cell phone and let him know how I am. Poor guy. So many people to see, so little time.

On Monday mum and I broke the wishbone from an old turkey. My wish was for a good Christmas. I should’ve been more specific cause on Christmas Eve I had to sleep on sofa city sweetheart, cause middle sis slept on my bed. So now I’ve got the biggest knot on my back.

But my wish did give me a good Christmas, except when mum watch “My Dog Skip” *wipes away tears* which has just left me in this emotional state. Oh bugger. I hope nothing happens to my 15-year-old dog when I leave. *Wipes tear* Max is right; she’ll probably be all right, just like everyone else. But the other day I did see a small spot were she might be molting. Poooorr booobbbbiiiiii.

So I’ve finally pulled away from playing with my toys to write here. I've been reading the two towers (which I still think the movie was pretty good, and mum say the fellowship a couple days ago, which she thought some parts were dragging, but all in all it was good), and playing with my new toys: like a new stereo (pretty descent size 3 CD changer, mp3 player, alarm and sleeper mode system), new camera, lots of money and gift certificates. And middle sis loves her karaoke stereo system, which we all played with during Xmas.

Saw Gangs of New York on Thursday, which I thought was too long (3 HOURS!). I wish I didn’t hold my piss during the middle of the movie, cause that was the part that was really dragging. And then lil sis and I stayed at a friend’s house for the night, where we had a wine galore event. And now I do not want to see another wine bottle for a long while.

Then I went out with Max on Saturday, and I got a couple of DVD’s that I wanted. I’m going to miss Max bunches.

And today I went shopping with lil sis. So I’ve had a quite relaxing but very fun week.

However, the navy and I were discussed a bit this week though. My aunt’s baby shower is January 15th, two days after I leave for boot camp. So gramma is going to try to make the shower sooner. Dad mentioned today that I should pack some boxes, for after boot camp, in case I’m stationed somewhere away from home, which my folks can just ship the boxes over to me. I just hope that when I do pack some boxes, I won’t be kicked out of my room. And I don’t want all the space that I occupy to become a storage spot like how middle sis’s room became a storage room. And everyone was giving me ‘traveling style’ gifts. I even got travelers check. Weird.

Well, on New Years, my sisters, friends, and I are going to Soma’s New Years Eve concert where 22 punk bands are playing: like Pennywise, Voodoo Glow Skulls, Homegrown, Face to Face, etc. It’s out in San Diego, so sis registered us at a hotel room for the night. Should be pretty fun. Another concert. Boy, I’ve been going to a lot these past couple of months. When I put the past concert tickets amongst my other ticket stubs that I’ve collected since fall of 1996, I noticed that I might need another little container for these ticket stubs. Sis thinks it’s weird that I collect such tings, but honestly it’s quite neat. It’s a small memento of the things that I’ve done, with or without pictures.

    wow this is long. sorry.

And please don't forget about how i'm re-writing some of my ol' short stories...

A Ghost's Dream, Window Shopping, and The Rose

    more to come latter.

  • Our nieghbors is giving us a small version of 12 days of christmas, And we shall be sending them and some other neighbors some homemade cookies. Max's neighbors are being dicks and leaving concret on his driveway so that he'd drive over them.

So, what xmas gifts/things are you giving your neighbors?

I’ve had interesting couple days. Mum’s been cooking up a storm: making her traditional fudge, m&m cookies, chocolate chip cookies, sugar cookies (which I will soon be putting frosting on top), Hershey kiss cookies, and the dinners. So the dinners are the spaghetti sauce for tomorrow’s pizza’s and Wednesday’s chicken spaghetti plate – which grandma (mum’s mum) will ask where the traditional turkey is.  Well, sorry grams, but this Xmas will be an Italian Xmas.

The Henry Rollins/ Black Flag concert was pretty kewl. Lil sis is about 5"3' so she had to keep her arms raised to her shoulder in order to rest her arms on the stage barricade-fence. Middle-sis and I just leisurely rested on the fences. The reason I bring that up is because when there is a part in the two towers that reminded me of this. The part was at the battle at helm's deep, where Gimli looks to Legolas and says "you could've picked a better spot" and Gimli kept jumping up and down to look over the wall.

Well the show was pretty good. Henry was agressive as always. They played their usual songs. Henry sang most of the songs, and keith sang a couple. Henry messed up 'tv party tonight' so they replayed that song after they played a few more songs. 'Slip it in' was pretty funny cause one of the guys was singing the girl parts. heheh.

So that was last thursday. On friday, my sisters, one of their friend (who gave me a small gift) and I went karoake at a pub that none of us has been to - the roadhouse. It was quite packed, but we each sang about 3 songs. And saturday was a pretty uggghhhhh day. Went shopping for my gifts to everyone, then Max and my plans to hang out didn't go so well, but we did see the two towers, and spend some time with each other. Sunday was some more shopping, cooking, and of course, cleaning! yaaa.. Where's martha stewart when you need her to do all the work? LOL.

I also re-wrote some of my short stories...

A Ghost's Dream, Window Shopping, and The Rose.

Today I have this much spare time to right this little blog to say this...

All you fuckers better have a good christmas. And all you scrooges, say hello to the ghosts for me.

  • Have yourself a merry little Christmas
    let your heart be light
from now on our troubles will be out of sight

    I wish.

My cold is almost gone. Woohooo!
But... mom has been having a cow these past couple of days. Really sucks.

Tonight’s’ Rollins concert at the glasshouse. Sisters and I will go to the concert at about 7pm.

I hate! Martha Stewart right now. Mum is taking up her advice in restoring a VERY OLD coffee table. Yesterday she spent 3 hours gluing some of the frail wood to the table. And when the glue failed, she asked dad to use the staple gun. Today she's going to be spray-painting this frail wood.
She left right now to go shopping or something. And of course, she didn't leave without bitching and cussing how my rooms a mess. It isn’t though. She’s expecting my shelf to the TV stand to be cleared, and my desk to be cleared. A shelf and a desk cleared? What?! It looks fine to me. dag-nabit.

And mum still hasn't taken me to go Christmas shopping. Damn the man to all eternal hell. now!

    Love is a sentimental heart
    Life is a sentimental way
Spy the fragile heart so cursed
As he walks across this earth

Then tomorrow we're taking puppy to get groomed. We need pick up her arthritis pills today. Yes that's right. Dog’s have arthritis too. My poor puppy.

Saturday I get to see the two towers, so that'll be really kewl. I’m half way finished with the book. But it's been kind of hard reading it when mum is having a cow.

From now till christmas I will be busy cleaning, going out with friends and my sisters.
then dad's relatives are coming over on christmas eve (last time they came over i think was for our high shcool graduation or something yearrrrssss ago, so this is a big event. that's why mum's been painting and having a cow). we'll be making about 5 or so pizza's (rectangular cookie sheet sizes): thick crust, various toppings. and other italian dinner plates. yuummm. but oihhh the cooking and cleaning. i fear it the most. dad's side is mostly italian, so they always cook a lot of stuff.
then christmas day, some of mum's relatives are coming over. this won't be so bad, cause coolest cousin will be there.
and on new years, we'll probably plan to have both mom and dad's family to meet us at the horse track races, where we'll have a little picnic and celebrate my leaving.  it's getting close. (i'll try to get that video camera for you max once i'm making money LOL)

So till then everyone, I wish that you have a kewl christmas.  hopefully i can go to mt. baldy or big bear soon.. it just snowed.

  • This cold doesn’t seem to want to go away.

I love Microsoft word. It does all the quick grammar for me when my head is too cloudy to think.

I wanted to go to the school today for book buy back, but it started raining. So now everything seems really gloomy and mystical right now, so I’ve been reading the two towers. It’s weird how a book can blend in with this rainy day perfectly.

The game yesterday was pretty good. Aunt and uncle treated. Lil’ Sis was amazed how nice the food stands were – tossed chicken salads, BIG nacho bowls, assortment of drinks, including starbucks coffee. The seats were great. The ticket was VIP (middle section where the club boxes are), and close enough to the ice that we didn’t need binoculars. But they were behind one of the goal posts.
The ducks won 5 to zip, which I sort of feel sorry for Lemieux. There’s been a lot of hype that he’s the next Gretzky, and the penguins loose all three of the games here in California.
And the poor Kings because they’re now 2 points (one game) behind the Ducks.

Anyway, I’m going to either take a nap or finish reading the two towers, which ever comes first.

btw, why the hell did they let wormtoungue free?!

  • I can’t believe you kidnapped me with a candy bar.

I went to the recruiter’s office for a little drug test (navy’s drug policy: “zero tolerance”). I was thinking maybe I should pull what pigpen did in Out Cold, where he took a shit instead of pissing for his drug test. But I behaved and passed the test... of course.
Right now I hate the world for giving me this cold. And I also hate my mother because she wouldn’t let me take any drugs until after my drug test. And I hate dad’s logic, “if you work out at the gym you won’t feel so sick.” But going to the gym on thursday just made things worse.

Now my nose is leaking like a water fountain. It sucks really badly. School ends, and what happens? I get sick. fuuuuuuckkkkkkkkk.

Kidnapper exposed when candy bar melts in hand.

So I guess the only thing to do is let this cold kidnap me. Damn the man to all eternal hell.

the good news: sis rented this movie for us. the salton sea...

So in a way today is both the bad superstitious Friday the 13th. and the Friday the 13th that I believe in, which is a lucky day.

You're a mean one, Mr. Grinch

Mom's finally wrapping her gifts, and sending them off to her sisters who live out of cali-state. So we have to find boxes to ship these wrapped gifts. Damn the man.

And I got a letter from Miss Army Aisha, who I roomed with when I went to meps in April, and haven't heard from in over 5 months. Miss Army said that she's literally freezing her butt off at ft hood and hating every minute of it. But she’s hoping that Texas will rub off on her Californian soul. So I'm going to try to send Aisha a little piece of California for her Christmas gift.

  • draddle draddle draddle won't you be my draddle

(A little something here for the 3350 people that have visited my site. and for my loyal readers, I’ve got another picture at my ivillage site)

The final exam yesterday went pretty well. I just messed up on one question: the requirements of life. Like a fool I put 'what is needed is Carbon, Hydrogen, Oxygen, Nitrogen (C.H.O.N.) and energy'. The actual answer was 'what is needed is the ability to reproduce.' That was just worth 2 pts, but hopefully it’s the only points that'll be deducted. And getting the extra credit correct helped, which the question was ‘what is C.H.O.N.’ (carbon, hydrogen, oxygen, nitrogen) Yes, I know I’m a moron. LOL.

draddle draddle draddle won't you be my draddle

After my class I hung out with my friends at the quad. Then it was off to the library’s computer lab to hang out there as I waited for Mikey. While I was jotting down this list, I was started by gangsta-look-a-like Matt. He was apparently in the back of the room almost the entire time, and I didn’t even notice. Sneaky s.o.b. LOL.
So we were messed around with the computers, and almost got in trouble for playing games on yahoo IM, and also talking loudly.

So anyway, got home and found dad finished painting the ceiling. I’m going to have to put on my 'paint clothes,' even though I’m going to go with Mikey.

draddle draddle draddle won't you be my draddle

Then my uncle called, inviting us girls to the ducks vs penguins game this Sunday. Should be fun considering the tickets will be VIP. I’m so excited!

And about 10pm or so, I went over to Max’s house to watch Bad Company, and to take some lovely pictures. The movie was good, but mostly funny. Some parts were questionable, like how the hell can a person have photographic memory for numbers and be able to turn that into a chess game? And the car that crashed into the tree, I could’ve sworn that the front end was damaged, but yet it looked fine.

draddle draddle draddle won't you be my draddle

well I planned to go out, but mom REALLY needs my help RIGHT now with the painting. so I'm off to do some "cutting." sucks.

  • Btw, I shan't forget about this as I'm shopping:

    Shopping etiquette here:

When shopping please put things back to where you found them.  During the holidays the workers are too busy to take care of your lazy needs.  This is the one reason why I don’t want to work at a clothing store during the holidays.  When I quite “Forever 21” a few years back I was horrified to find out how lazy people can be. And yes, that includes the co-workers, but still.  It is not correct to place clothes litterally ontop of the clothing racks, or on the floor, let alone giving the clothes your make-up stains.  And you all wonder why the clothes are so dirty, and why the employes give you such dirty mean looks.  And yes, they do talk about you behind your back.  Shesh.  When I was working at the restaurant back in the day, I found it quite nice to be thanked and get tips – even when “busers” (or waiter’s assistants) don’t normally get tips directly from the customers. So hat’s why I’ve gotten the habit of putting things away during the holidays, and at other times let the employers take care of my lazy get. LOL.

  • Some things that I think about during Christmas time: the old tradition of these holidays and the true purpose… To me the true purpose of celebrating Christmas and holidays is not just religious reasons, but also celebrating life and being thankful that you have family members and/or friends that’ll give you gifts and/or celebrate the holidays with.

For people like kotas, the following might be too hard to swallow…
The old traditions, where did they come from, why’d they get started?
When a priest lights a white candle his intentions are to purify the room. Same thing for ‘witches’ or Celtics. Black doesn’t mean just evil as some of my Christian friends think: it’s to banish evil, just like the color white.

    (Following from Gerina Dunwich’s books):
“Eostre: Saxon and Neo-Pagan goddess of fertility and springtime, whom the holiday of Easter is named after.”

Past and current events during: “December 24th: Christmas Eve. According to folklore, the ghosts of departed loved ones return home each year on this night. It is a Christmas Eve tradition in Finland and in many other parts of Europe for families to light white candles on the graves of their ancestors.
According to superstition, if a man proposes to his beloved on Christmas Eve and she accepts, they will surely enjoy a happy and love-filled marriage.

December 25th: Birthday of the Invisible Sun (Dies Natalis Invicti Solis). Before being Christianized as the Mass of Christ (Christmas), a festival honoring the god of the sun was celebrated on this day in ancient Rome. It was made a public holiday by the Emperor Aurelian in the year A.D. 272 and consisted of the lighting of sacred bonfires.
On Christmas Day, according to German folklore, a Yuletide Witch known as the Lutzelfrau flies through the sky on her broom, bringing mischief to mortals who fail to honor her with small presents. Another Yuletide Witch of German folklore is Perchta. In the southern regions of the country, it was an old Yuletide custom for children wearing masks and carrying besoms (Witch brooms) to go door to door (in “trick or treat” fashion) begging for gifts in the name of Perchta.”

We’re still painting the walls. Mom’s been painting the entryway and hallway (where it was supposed to be just white) a lighter tan color. And as soon as dad gets home, he’ll be painting the ceilings – the hallway and my room. It sucks that he’s going to be painting my room.

I’m studying right now for tomorrow’s final. Judy (the oceanography instructor) gave us most of the answers, so now all I have to do is memorize two or so pages of these question-answers. argggg….. sucks.

On a lighter note, my Aunt Sue (who lives in Hawaii) is visiting us for dinner. So mum and aunt are going out to eat right now, while I stay home and study. Damn school. LOL

December 9, 2002

  • Btw. The homemade pizza isn't as simple as it sounds. We make about 5 or so pizzas - rectangular cookie sheet size, each has a thick crust. Each one has a different topping, including anchovies (sp?) for my grandfather. arrgg uhh getting sick just remember the smell of those. Everything is handmade. Including the dough.
We’ve been painting for most of the entire day. But now we're finally done with the entry way/ TV room. The color is a light brown, but I think it looks sort of pinkish. The TV room seems to have more color than it should now, and sis thinks it looks kind of dark, even though the colors are pastels.
Puppy (my 15 year old sweet collie-samolien dog) was going crazy today cause the newspapers occupied the floor and I was moving around the house a lot (she followed me everywhere). She didn't want to be outside, the silly girl.
I'm so tired, and I just want to sit and lounge around. But I have to study for my final. arrggggg
we watched football while we were painting and it made me think of some high school friends of mine that made it big. i just hope two things, they don't get hurt, and their ego's aren't damaged.
so a lucky son of a bitch to...

James Tuthil(who was just traded to the san diego on 12/5. was on the redskins just before that, and played during the thanksgiving redskins vs raiders' game)

Orlando Huff (seatle seahawks. haven't seen much of him as our cable system doesn't get any of their games, but sis has seen a couple of the games on tv-satelite)
    all upland high school almamada

Oh forgot to mention that I saw Extreme Ops last Tuesday with Jason. It was pretty good. I was expecting a little more with the whole terrorists ops thing. But I was glad that I saw the movie at the theatres cause everything was just action this action that. It has a quick ending also. 7 1/2 out of 10.
Yesterday max dropped by to see why our digital camera wasn't working. Apparently the computer's ports are screwy. And I’m pretty happy cause he sent over the fellowship.

oh and i forgot this too...
Sister got tickets for us to see Henry Rollins/ black flag on the 19th. Pretty kewl when the tickets are just 15 dollars. (max it's not too late to get the tickets if you wanna go too it's at the glasshouse)

^these pics are from a couple months ago, when they met Henry Rollins in Hollywood. sisters were extatic.
sisters also went to see henry play last week for free at a music store (picture "empire records") out in hollywood.

December 7, 2002

  • christmas time eee-gods!

so what are we doing for christmas you ask...
well my dad's family is coming over to our house for christmas. we'll be having our traditional homemade italion pizza dinner. and i'm not sure where mom's family is going to be having their christmas lunch/dinner. it'll probably be our house. sucks doesn't it?

so as a result to mom's procastination, she's decided to paint the house this weekend. at first it was just the hallway, but now it's also the tv room. she's painting the white walls brownish. brownish? the other two walls are light blue. brownish? and now? two weeks or so before christmas? don't know about my mom sometimes... dad's playing with the electricity right now, cause he's trying to put in a new celling-lamp in the kitchen, so i better end this quickly before the computer's electricity gets shut off by mistake.
