yes, i have hairy-stubby legs
hello everyone. i'm doing pretty good here on the ship. been quite busy getting my quals for shooting all the guns onboard the ship... like the 12 gauge shotgun, m14 rifle, 9mm handgun, 25mm, 50 cal, mk44 and the m-60 (machine gun - the one that was used in full metal jacket)... lucky me i'm on the gun mount team. yesterday i shot the 12 gauge shotgun, the first gun of any kind that i've shot since i shot the 9mm in boot camp.
also lucky me i had to get the smallpox shot (which itches like hell!) and the anthrax shot just like everyone else on this ship. i'm going to have to get the anthrax shot again probably next week. and this smallpox bubbly thing on my shoulder is small now, but hm2 darst and everyone else says it's supposed to get a whole lot bigger, and bubblier.
i've meet lots of people here on this ship, like this one guy matt dow who is looking over my shoulder right now and reading this entry. he thinks he's all that but i really don't think so. but he's a big computer geek, so that gives him specialties in working with the 1st lieutenant. not that many people like her because she's quite a mean person.
my jobs here on the ship besides getting one of my coveralls really quite dirty is also doing some light cleaning work around the ship. as well as getting my qualifications for the gun mount crew, damage controll, and 3-m (maintenance management). plus there's playing with the computer, going to the gym, or just relaxing for the night.
tomorrow i shot the mk44. i'll probably go see gmc carr (gunner's mate cheif) tonight about training me on how to just handle the mk44 (not firing). that would probably help me out for tomorrow's gun shot.
so that's what i've been up to lately.
write again soon.

Sorry, I'm gonna do better from now on.
Hey, I'm glad all is well w/ya on the ship and that you're making friends with compoo-geeks-- those types can come in handy!
Sounds like too much fun! I knew you would do well!!!
